Today is a celebration of love and relationships, one of the most romantic days of the year.  Although it is the only nationally recognized day of hearts, February 14th is not the only day that you can get away with romantic décor!  Here are a few ways to keep the romance and celebration of love around you all year long.

In the Office…

An abstract crystal heart paperweight, from Tiffany & Co., adds a daily reminder to “love the one you’re with!”  It is also available in a deep cobalt color for a more masculine workspace.

On the Walls…

This painting, by American pop artist Jim Dine, was used in a Manhattan penthouse I designed.  It hangs in the entrance to the master bedroom in remembrance of the love that fills the home.

Upholstered walls envelop a room in tenderness and warmth.  This dining room, wrapped in red silk, romances a quiet dinner for two any day of the year!

In the Bedroom…

I always have lit candles in my bedroom to create a warm and romantic ambiance.  I especially love Rigaud Candles; they offer an extensive line of sensual and intoxicating fragrances to choose from.  Try my favorite – Tournesol.

Nothing says romance like fresh-cut flowers.  I love the bold look of monochromatic arrangements accented with green foliage.  Fresh blooms introduce a dreamy aroma and texture into any space!

Create a romantic nest to lay your head every night.  Surround your mattress with luxurious, plush fabrics and monogram your pillows to increase the intimacy.
