When friends drop in unexpectedly, I always have something delicious to offer them.  It’s important for me to have a very welcoming home.  It’s part of who I am.

Keeping an assortment of finger foods on hand – shrimp, carrots, celery and fresh dips – is great for impromptu guests.

Joan’s on Third is one of my favorite LA shops.  It’s a gourmet marketplace where I can pick up any last-minute delectables.  A few of my favorite items include:  the grilled vegetables, macaroni & cheese and any one of their lamb chop dishes.

Serve your selection of hors d’oeuvres on clean white platters and surround them with fresh greenery and flowers.  Be sure not to forget a selection of small plates and napkins.

I like monogrammed napkins and white linen mats.  Linens et al, off of Robertson Blvd., has a wonderful collection.

Even if you’re simply serving on your coffee table, these minimal touches add luxury and make any visit memorable.

Today is the last day to enter the draw for a pair of hand-blown, crystal glasses from my custom collection.  Have you joined my fan page yet?
