As I have traveled over the years I have logged many ideas for doors and hardware.  I think it makes a big impact on the introduction to the home.  Doors tend to be details that are all too often overlooked.  I pay special attention to the design that goes into an exquisite door.  Here are a few of my favorite entry designs.

The first is one of my most recent projects.  The custom metal design is on a hinged frame that swings open for optimal cleaning of the glass behind it.

This is a custom copper entry gate designed for a home in Indian Wells, CA.  When it came to the metal work, I called upon Giminaro Studios in Crawford, Colorado.  Don Giminaro and his craftsmen rendered the perfect pair of gates for this Asian design, setting the inspiration for the entire home.

I love these sculptured bronze doors, custom-made for this Ritz Carlton NY Residence.  I had the pleasure of working in conjunction with architect Thierry W. Despont, who designed this beautiful pair.  My clients commissioned Despont for the striking bronze doors after seeing another pair he did for a Manhattan synagogue.  The sculptural quality really makes for a striking entrance!
