People don’t print pictures anymore.  I miss that.

I started putting my pictures in a bowl on my coffee table years ago.  Friends and family would send them in the mail and they would always end up in a drawer or envelope.  Now I’ve got a large collection in this beautiful, red lacquer bowl.

The bowl invites conversation.  It’s tactile and I try to add new pictures every week.  So many times people sit in the living room and they flip through it.  There is a history there and invariably you’ll see a picture of yourself at some past event.  Sometimes a guest will even take a picture out and take it home!

To make your own, use a wooden bowl or a basket that you love.  Visit shutterbug.com and start printing!
