Every year Jazz Aspen Snowmass puts on a 3-day musical fest for Labor Day. The festival is an open air, dance oriented extravaganza of popular rock, funk, blues, world and soul music. The event is held September 3-5 at Snowmass Town Park with a beautiful back drop of the Elk Mountain Range.
This year the music line up hosts an array of bands including Wilco, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Black Crowes, Glenn Frey & Joe Walsh of the Eagles, and Court Yard Hounds featuring Martie Maguire & Emily Robinson of the Dixie Chicks.
General admission tickets cost $56-$75 a day or $190 for a 3-day pass. Upgrade to Patron Passes to enjoy the weekend to its fullest. Ranging from $1250 to $1750, these tickets include a 3-day pass to the festival along with access to the Patron Tent, Patio & Enclave which have daily grille fare, nightly open bars, hors d’oeuvres , and dinner catered by Aspen’s Syzygy Restaurant. As a gold patron, you also gain access to side stage viewing balconies for that intimate concert feeling.
JAS is continued to be recognized for its unique marriage of world-class music to a natural and intimate setting. Along with bringing great music to Aspen this summer, the non-profit organization has summer music programs for local students. The JAS in Schools Summer Camps include mentorship, instruction, and performance opportunities for High School and Middle School students. Many of these pupils come from schools that have received musical instrument and equipment donations from JAS.
