Bel Air Estate

Hilltop serenity embodies this mid-century home, one of the last designed by the architect – Burton Schutt. The owners had lived there for 30 years when DLD was brought in to update the interiors. The feeling of openness was retained, but the drabness was eliminated by painting the scored wood a very glossy black lacquer and the plaster walls a very bright white. “Strong architectural elements and the definite oriental flavor dictated its redesign.”
