What to Do:
Interior Design Calendar
Summer break is the perfect time for internships, and each year at this time I am reminded of the eagerness that students and new interior designers possess. It is an inspirational reminder to myself, and other established designers, that we really have to keep consistent with the trends and to continue attending design seminars and panels to keep up with the latest and greatest. This is true within most every profession, but finding these events can often become a daunting task. To solve this, I have just launched a new addition to the Donna Livingston Blog, the Design Calendar – a calendar of worldwide industry events.
But first – Aren’t these creative design panel titles? “Don’t be Anti-Social” and “Pop, Fizz, Clink!” These discussions are part of an annual lunch-and-learn design series, Designer’s Wednesday, that are held in the San Francisco Design Center. Starting at only $10/class for students the series is great for young and seasoned professionals alike. The seminars will be held at noon on the first Wednesday of each month, beginning August 1st, and include lunch – even some “bubbly” at one of them!
For more information on this and additional design events in your area please view the brand new tab, Design Calendar! There you will find an ongoing calendar of exciting events in the interior design, architecture, and home décor and art industries. Please contact our office or leave a comment for any events that you would like us to add to the list, the calendar will be updated often. And always remember, whatever the event, be sure to arrive early and explore the facilities for additional inspiration and a view of exceptionally designed spaces. Happy exploring!
